**** I will add more final touches. I got too excited to post this ****
This is my first time attempting a serious fanart. It's also my first time doing a double-page spread, not to mention in full color. Done completely with traditional media It's also my first time spending over 15 hours on a drawing, ever. I spent at least 25 hours on this, on and off... It's also my first time drawing more than 2 characters in a drawing. First time drawing full bodied-characters. So, so many firsts...
The game seemed to go by quietly, but I found it a very refreshing play. Some of it was cheesy but if you can look over that, it's enjoyable.
I wanted to apply Nomura's thick lineart and lanky legs/arms with big feet. I also loved the settings for the game - especially the Udagawa Backstreets.
I could go on and on about this spread; I've spent so much time on it and with it. It really was a learning process.
- - - - - - - - - - - - Tools: Copic Sketch markers, acrylic paint Time: 25+ hours...? on and off over 1.5 weeks.
OH WOW...its HELLA AWESOME...nice work on the copic markers...was the white acrylic paint used on the walls...i only hope to color as well as you do...VERY NICE WORK...

This newsletter was "born" back in March 2007, from a conversation between ~Lareth and =FrozenStarRo, who with the help of their friends *Iardacil and *Sylwiaa , wanted to make something to promote known and unknown photomanipulators alike here on DeviantArt. As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same.
